McNeely is famous for his work with legendary artists such as Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Al Green and Jaco Pastorious, and has provided the album with original and subtle arrangements that you rarely hear nowadays. Karen's personal vocals floats between clouds of vintage-sounding strings and horns. Also, for her unique take on Marvin Gaye's classic I Heard It Through the Grapevine, she had the opportunity to have several musicians from Gaye's original band performing with her.
