Jesse Harris has had a career full of musical adventures from winning the Grammy for Song Of The Year for writing Norah Jones's hit "Don't Know Why" and recording over twenty of his own albums, to producing, co-writing, or writing for a wild array of geniuses and icons including Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Cat Power, Feist, Black Keys, Bright Eyes, Lana Del Rey, Smokey Robinson, John Zorn, and Maya Hawke. Yet, somehow, none of his exploits had involved recording his songs accompanied by an orchestra. The idea was irresistible. Harris sat down to write a series of songs with symphonic arrangements in mind. The situation was so inspiring that in those five weeks, he wrote another eight songs and added a new version of "Rose Du Ciel," from his most recent EP, because he felt it deserved the orchestral treatment.
