New album by Ailie Ormston and Tim Fraser, made up of samples of collaborative session material, field recordings and intricate MIDI instrumentation. 'It Changes' traces a moment in UK music culture from the 1990s to the present and repurposes the rhetoric of desire from UK Clubland to contemporary Poundland; from warehouse parties to warehouse employment. Odes are made to MMORPG soundtracks, the figures of authority in Peanuts and the dying frequencies in the ears of gen X ravers. Parts of It Changes were first presented in 2019 as a larger audio-visual work for Counterflows festival and the album was completed using voice notes and a headphone cable stretching between Tim & Ailie's neighbouring flats during the first and cursed parts of 2020.
