Every other Wednesday, the artist, songwriter, and producer Tingsek has locked himself in the studio together with his longtime colleague and co-producer MÃ¥ns Mernsten, working late into the night on the album Lights Out Association-on February 28, we finally get to hear the result! " Inspiration has been on a long vacation, "Tingsek sings on the album. The Wednesdaynights in the studio have become a sanctuary where he and MÃ¥ns can shut out the worldand rediscover creativity without distractions. This method has proven to be effective whenthe grip of everyday life is tight, and a way to reclaim the nights after the early years ofparenthood. While the previous album, Home (2021), revolved around home and love forfamily, the lyrics onLights Out Associationturn inward, filled with both self-criticism andhumor. Much of this playfulness can be heard on the latest single, Like Folklore, released on November 22. A soulful, groovy, and at times funky pop track, topped with brassarrangements by another longtime friend of Magnus, Peter Zimny, who is perhaps Sweden'smost in-demand brass musician today. Shortly after the release of Lights Out Association February 28, Tingsek will embark on atour with his full band."I always love playing live, whether it's as a duo, solo, or with my entire band.
