The HEL Performance banjo bolt adapters are particularly useful in situations where space and tight bends are a concern. A banjo adapter is commonly used when the bend radius, or the overall size of a swivel seal hose end or forged hose end is too large for any area that has compact and limited space. The primary purpose of a banjo bolt is to connect components of a fluid system, such as hose and fittings, while allowing the passage of fluid (fuel, oil and water) through the bolt itself. The banjo eye has a hollow cylindrical body with a hole that aligns with holes in the banjo bolt when assembled. This configuration allows fluid to flow through the central passage of the bolt and into or out of the banjo fitting's tail end.

The swivel banjo adapter is the ultimate solution for any oil cooler or oil filter sandwich plate installation where space is extremely limited and tight fitting.

Please note, this swivel banjo adapter comes supplied with a bonded Dowty seal.

Machined from 6061-T6 Aluminium, our adapters are available in a hard-wearing anodised Black finish.

Recommendations
  • Recommended torque is 26-30 lb/ft, 35-40 Nm.
  • Please make sure the hose runs parallel to the banjo adapter for a minimum of 10cm/4" in length. This will avoid any tension being applied to the swivel banjo adapter, causing the internal O-Ring's to deform and become ineffective.
  • When tightening the swivel banjo adapter, it is very important to support the banjo bolt whilst tightening the AN hose tail. This will avoid any unnecessary strain on the circlip and the internal O-Ring's.
