Double vinyl LP pressing. Three Worlds: Music from Woolf Works is the 2017 album from acclaimed composer and performer, Max Richter. The album, drawn from an evening length ballet of the same name, traces the life of author Virginia Woolf through powerful, compelling, and emotional music that encompasses electronic textures and soundscapes as well as orchestral episodes. Now available on vinyl, the album coincides with ballet performances in London as well as the anniversary of Woolf's birth. Max Richter is a German-born British composer who has been an influential voice in post-minimalist composition and in the meeting of contemporary classical and alternative popular musical styles since the early 2000s. Richter is known for his prolific output: composing and recording his own music; writing for stage, opera, ballet and screen; producing and collaborating on the records of others; and collaborating with performance, installation and media artists.
