Sony Masterworks Broadway is proud to announce the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of The Outsiders, A New Musical, based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton and Francis Ford Coppola’s landmark motion picture of the same name. The musical features music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance) and Justine Levine and a book by Adam Rapp with Levine. The Outsiders opened on Broadway on April 11 with a cast led by Brody Grant as Ponyboy Curtis, Sky Lakota-Lynch as Johnny Cade, Joshua Boone as Dallas Winston, Brent Comer as Darrel Curtis, Jason Schmidt as Sodapop Curtis, Emma Pittman as Cherry Valance and Daryl Tofa as Two-Bit.

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade and their Greaser family of “outsiders” battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. This thrilling new Broadway musical navigates the complexities of self-discovery as the Greasers dream about who they want to become in a world that may never accept them. With a dynamic original score, The Outsiders is a story of friendship, family, belonging... and the realization that there is still “lots of good in the world.”
