Jamaican artist of the year in both `75 & `76, Johnny signed to Virgin Records and released two highly acclaimed albums for Virgin's Front Line label. Still performing and recording today, Johnny also tasted crossover success when his "Everyday Wondering" hit made number 2 on the UK Charts with it's Rupie Edwards "Irie Feelings" dub deconstruction. Johnathan Richman also turned Johnny's Earl Zero penned "None Shal Escape The Judgement" hit into the internationa chart topper "Egyptian Reggae" in 1977.
