One of the most exciting, and youngest, voices in alternative rock and shoegaze, Midrift returns with their latest single "over anything," alongside the announcement of their debut album Silhouette, set for release on June 5th.Over the past few years, Gus Mehrkam (vocals, guitar), Manoa Neukermans (bass) and Kai Neukermans (drums), have built undeniable momentum as Midrift. Their breakout tracks "Twin Flames" and "Unrequited" (200M across the catalogue worldwide) surged online resonating with a new generation of listeners. Gus, Manoa, and Kai grew up together in the Bay Area, skating and playing music in other bands before forming Midrift in 2023.After extensive touring in 2025, which included pivotal festival plays at Sound and Fury and their hometown festival Outside Lands, the band will be supporting Angel Du$t and julie / Fleshwater on tour this Spring before heading off to perform in Europe this summer at Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands (Gorillaz, Jack White, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Ethel Cain) and Rock For The People Festival in Czech Republic (w Gorillaz, Limp Bizkit, Bring Me The Horizon, Halsey, Iron Maiden).
