Black Vinyl with heavy cover and insert. Belgian death metal veterans Aborted delivered a brutal statement with their EP "Termination Redux", marking their 20th anniversary with a vicious five-track assault that proved the band was far from coasting on past glories. This wasn't filler material - these tracks demonstrated just how far the band had evolved technically while keeping their trademark savagery firmly intact. Alongside exclusive new material, they threw in a completely re-recorded version of the Aborted classic "The Holocaust Re-Incarnate," showing exactly how much ground the band had covered since their early days. After the atmospheric opener "Liberate Me Ex Inferis," all bets were off. The title track "Termination Redux" and the barbarically titled "Vestal Disfigurement Upon The Sacred Chantry" pummeled listeners with Ken Bedene's precision drumming and bone-crushing riffs, while "Bound In Acrimony" stood out as the absolute knockout punch. What was impressive was the hit rate - 15 minutes of runtime with zero dead weight. Every song landed perfectly and was clearly designed to be experienced at maximum volume. The production nailed the sweet spot between technical prowess and raw filth, ensuring every blast beat and every one of Sven de Caluwé's growls hit with full force. A "perfidious mixture of death metal, grindcore, and hardcore" - couldn't have put it better themselves.
