Limited vinyl LP repressing of this 1968 album by the Jazz great, part of the Blue Note 75 anniversary vinyl reissue campaign. Jones was a jazz drummer of the post-bop era. His brothers Hank Jones and Thad Jones were also jazz musicians with whom he recorded. From 1960 to 1966, Elvin was a member of the John Coltrane quartet (along with Jimmy Garrison on bass and McCoy Tyner on piano), a celebrated recording phase, appearing on such albums as A Love Supreme. This release includes special Blue Note 75 vinyl sleeve that features album cover art for 75 Blue Note titles.
