Mclusky Returns with The World is Still Here and So Are We
Originally forming in the late 1990s and releasing music—if you could call it that—between 2000 and 2004, Mclusky disbanded in what could best be described as a slow-motion farce. There was no dramatic implosion, no headline-worthy scandal—just a quiet exit.
Now, they're back, initially driven by spite but ultimately staying for the sheer joy of it. Playing to larger and more hygiene-conscious crowds across the UK, US, and Australia, Mclusky has found a second wind, much to the delight of fans old and new. So far, the reception has been overwhelmingly positive—except for one guy in Leeds, but he was clearly on ketamine.
Their long-awaited return to the studio has resulted in a brand-new album, The World is Still Here and So Are We, set for release in May 2025. Expect the same biting wit, raw energy, and unapologetic noise that made them cult legends in the first place—only this time, people are actually paying attention.
