War Machine, originally issued in 2010, was Tank's first album in eight years. Founding member, bassist, and singer Algy Ward, who sadly passed away far too early in 2023 at the age of just 63, had left the band in 2008. He was replaced by former Rainbow vocalist Doogie White. Guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans formed the core of the reborn Tank, both having been members of the band since the mid-1980s. They were joined by Chris Dale on bass (known for his work with Bruce Dickinson's solo band) and Dave Cavill on drums. The ultimate reissue of War Machine on High Roller Records includes three bonus tracks: "Dead Man Walking," a new recording of "Honour and Blood," and a live version of "Phoenix Rising." The unmastered original mix froms the basis for this definitive reissue, which was remastered by Patrick W. Engel, ensuring the album sounds better than ever.
