Whitewalls and Harmonies is the soul-drenched debut album from soul duo Jaywalk and The Cadillacs - weaving elements of hip hop, neo-soul, jazz, and downtempo electronic into a seamlessly resonant whole.Filled with contributions from a cast of gifted collaborators including Harleighblu, Ke Turner, Frank Nitt, Belle Chen and Laville, the heart of the project is rooted in the creative chemistry between producer-musician Ash Walker and lyricist, producer and musician Illa J (the younger brother of the legendary J Dilla).Much of the album was conceived during sessions in London, Iceland, and on the road during Illa J's solo tour-adding a sense of movement and lived experience to the record's production.
